When you finally land, you’ll find that your footing isn’t quite steady. It’s like the ground is moving around you….

Oh, wait. It is.

Everywhere you look, there are thick cable wires, writhing around restlessly. Draped along the walls, hanging from the ceiling, skimming along the ground (is that one trying to crawl onto your foot?)... There are four doors. One is made of a rough wood and painted turquoise. One has a movie-style marquee above it (but no movie listings), and the doors themselves are a set of glass double doors you can’t see through. Another is a door made of black marble, with a silver knob. The last one is is made of pure gold.

Leaning against one of the writhing walls, seemingly unaffected by the cables, is a figure in a turquoise cloak.

The first move is yours.

The stairs lead up to a hallway with three doors.

[ eenie meenie minie... MIDDLE DOOR? ]

The bedroom is small, but very disorganized. There is a twin bed resting against a wall, unmade and probably in need of washing. There are several items strewn about the room: An open bottle of pills on the bed, an empty needle on a small table by the bedside, and a half-drunk bottle of whiskey on the ground.

.... takes a pillowcase off the bed, uses it like a dog poop bag to collect the CONTRABAND 8|;; ]

Okay, but if you manage to grab a hold of all the contraband, the pills will flash this memory at you, the needle gets you this memory, and the alcohol gives him this memory.

So, about all those things Katou never talks about...

If he's up to it, there's a trash can beside the door.

[ EVENTUALLY GETTING UP and trashing them all 8|| then going to get another piece of paper to write notes on!!! ]

Well, unless you brought some paper from that pad in the kitchen, there isn't any in this room. Unless you count used kleenexes.

[ GETTING THE PAD FROM THE KITCHEN whatever going up and down some stairs is no big deal ]

The note seems to be secure under the trashcan.

STRIPS THE SHEETS OFF THE BED ]

The sheets are gross and there is a stain that may or may not be vomit on them, but they come off the mattress easily enough.

[ is there a hamper to throw them into :|a if not, setting them aside and picking up the mattress itself so he can take it outside (or at least into the hall) and BEAT IT LIKE A RUG ]

There is a clothes hamper off in a corner, with clothes piled somewhat haphazardly in it.

[ putting the sheets in the hamper then! and shaking the mattress out in the hall! then turning it over and putting it back on the bed... U KNOW... CLEANING THINGS ]

I wonder where you'd keep extra sheets in a room like this...

There is a small chest of drawers by the bed, and a closet.

[ checking the drawers, then the closet \o/! ]

The drawers have mostly clothes, and a pinwheel lying in one of them. The closet has relatively clean sheets in a corner on the floor.

[ sheets! First, making the bed! ]

The bed looks much nicer after it's freshly made.

[ good! Next, taking the pinwheel out because should that even be here. ]

Another memory flashes through Naoto's mind.

There were sounds of screaming, laughing, and all the other sounds one would normal hear at an amusement park. But Yue didn't care about any of that. He was walking around, wide-eyed, looking for someone, anyone that he recognized. His father, his mother, his sister— even a cop would be good at this point. He didn't know what had happened... he'd gone to the bathroom, and when he came back out, his family was gone. He trembled, then kept searching.

"Sae?" Yue reached his hand out as he thought he saw his sister, but when the girl turned around, he realized it wasn't her. He bit back the tears. Where were they? Where—

"Yuu-kun!" Normally, Yue hated that nickname, but he'd never been so happy to hear it, to hear Sae, as she slammed into him, hugging him. "Yuu-kun, I thought'd we'd lost you—!!"

"Let's just go home," Father said, in an oddly icy voice. And as Yue looked over at his father, he got the feeling that maybe...

Maybe he had been lost on purpose.

The memory fades...

The pinwheel is safely in the trash can, along with the rest of the drugs Naoto tossed out.
