► ♦ Staying over at Kira's place after running away. (Headcanon)

What Happened:
I could cheat and just link to Lucifer's write-up of this memory, but I'm also going to give a basic description from Katou's PoV.

Katou's around fifteen, right? And well, his dad is an abusive dickbag and thought, once again, that it would be fun to use Katou as his punching bag. Only this is the straw that broke the camel's back. Basically, he decides SCREW THIS, I'M OUTTA HERE, stuffs some of his things into a backpack, and storms out after a screaming match with his dad. And somehow, he ends up at Kira's doorstep. Kira lets Katou in, no questions asked. Why Kira's? Because fuck you. For his part, Kira only requests that Katou leaves tomorrow. Katou's like whatever, agrees to it, and then he can't find another place to stay. Not that he... tried very hard...

So he dicks around at Kira's for a while, getting high and accomplishing a whole lot of nothing. Kira makes him go to school sometimes and makes sure his loser ass gets fed, because there's just no way Katou was any good at this stuff himself at first, and Kira's a pal like that. There was also some sex with Kira at some point in this adventure.

Blah blah, a couple of weeks pass, then Kira finally gets tired of Katou being a bum and kicks him out and forces him to get his own place.

Learned/Effects:
• Basically, the only news here is that he ditched his family before he died.
