[ Kira had been watching her the entire time, calmly sipping his tea. He laughs when she speaks up. ] Can't get in on your own, huh? [ He stands up. ]

It seems locked.

[come to think of it, jiggles the doorknob, just to matter-of-factly confirm]

[ The door is, in fact, locked. Kira digs through one of his pockets. ] Yeah, doors tend to be locked. Anyway, I grabbed a key from Doll before I got here, so... [ He pulls out a key. It's the exact colour of Lycoris red. ]

Ah. That color.

[autorejoin]

Yeah, it's very symbolic. [ He tosses the key at Echo. ]

[CATCHES IT]

...thank you.

[quickly turns around to use it on the doorknob]

[ The door opens! ]

[HALLELUJAH enters and pulls the door shut]

[ One might think that you didn't like Kira, Echo. That would be silly, though.

Anyway, a brief scene plays out in front of Echo...

...and then she's kicked out of the room, staring at the once-again locked door. ]

[after that, she's stuck staring at the closed door in front of her]

[ Kira's leaning against a wall, just calmly smoking and saying nothing while Echo stares at the door. ]

[ Kira shrugs slightly. ] All I know is it has something to do with Katou.

Everything here has something to do with Katou.

Well obviously, that's the general theme. Look, I don't run the place, I'm just visiting.

Hades! Actually, Doll's usually the one who takes care of this place, but I got curious. I've never been here, after all.

Why do you think we were friends? I was one of the only people who could tolerate his bullshit for more than five minutes. [ ... ] That, and watching him be a trainwreck was entertaining.
