â–º Thanking Setsuna for saving him. (Chapter 31, Pages 18-22.)

What Happens:

Katou: "What-! That old man!? This cross and that coat were to attract ghouls and make us kill each other!? That damn old man-!! Making a fool out of me!!!! I'll kill him!! I'm definitely going to kill him!!"

Setsuna: "But it's all right for you to use that cross rod now."

Katou: "Agh. Of course I'm not going to cry about it. And Uriel gave me a good hint back there."

• Setsuna whispers into Katou's ear.

Katou: "Ah... Oh no, Mudou-kun, a guy's whisper is gross. ...Can we really do something like that?"

Setsuna: "I don't know, but that's the only way. Let's do it your style, Katou-sempai. If we get creamed, we'll retaliate with 100 times more force. Who cares what happens afterwards."

Katou: "Haha, have you snapped?"

Setsuna: "Hehe. hahaha AHAHAHAHA!!" *grabs Katou's shoulder/lower arm* "After that... You... can remain here? I don't want to involve you in my war anymore..."

Katou: *slap* *ugh* *kick* "Making me face all these things this far and you're telling me this!! Now there's only 'all the way down to hell!!"

Setsuna: "I got it, so help!"

• Katou helps pull Setsuna up so he doesn't fall off of Nidheg.

Katou: "And if it was you that killed me, you're the one that saved me as well. And changed me..."

Katou: "From the dark, cold depths... I, who all have forgotten. Without looking back at danger, what you did for me."

Katou: *whispers into Setsuna's ear* "Thanks..."

• Setsuna looks up at Katou with wide, shocked eyes. Katou turns away from him, blushing and embarrassed.

Setsuna: "...What did you say just now..."

Katou: "I'm not repeating myself!!"

Setsuna: "I want to hear that again, sempai~! It was thank--"

Katou: "SHUT UP!! It's the wind, the wind!! Damn it, I'll never say it again!"
