[ There's a door leading to the kitchen, one going outside, and a set of stairs going upstairs. ]

though she's gonna take the picture with her, sort of absent mindedly sorry ]

[ When you get to the top of the stairs, there's a hallway with four doors. One is clearly just a restroom, the door is even slightly open. The other three doors are closed tightly. There is music is coming from the furthest door down the hallway. ]

[ shifts closer to the bathroom door and hesitates, but knocks on it ]

[ There is no answer, but you can see inside. It appears to be a clean, ordinary bathroom. ]

It's empty. . .

[ goes inside and just looks around, hesitantly but. gotta explore ]

[ The bathroom looks pretty stereotypical of a Japanese suburban bathroom. There is a mirror you can check your reflection in by the sink. ]

[ ha ha

looks in the mirror. . .? ]

[ The mirror reflects.... you, mostly, except it looks like you at the lowest, most miserable time in your life. ]

[ ha. she reaches out to lightly brush the glass with a finger ]

[ The reflection mirrors you back, but half a step slower than you moved. ]

[ time to leave the bathroom and check the shut doors?? ]

[ The first door reveals a nice bedroom, as far as such things go. There’s a king-sized bed against a wall, and a huge chest of drawers against another. The room is very neatly made up. Depending on your sensibilities, the furniture may be a little stuffy for you. Ah well, there’s no accounting for some people’s tastes. ]

[ goes to the drawers and hesitates but then starts going through them ]

[ It's mostly clothes until you reach the bottom of the top left drawer. There is a photo at the bottom of that one, a picture of a couple. The woman looks like the same one in the family portrait downstairs, and she's smiling pleasantly. The man is very different, though. He looks easily like how Saber might if he were older and didn't bleach his hair. ]

[ she picks up the photo to compare them and also just. ah. ]

[Yep, that's definitely two different men between the pictures. The young girl in the family photo definitely looks like her father, but the baby...... Some people might say it's too early to tell, but you might see a resemblance between the baby in the family photo and the man in the other one. ]

Mm. . . did you grow up?

[ is there anything interesting about the bed? ]

[ It looks like a normal bed, big enough for two people. It's made neatly, with a comfortable-looking (if a bit stuffy) comforter. ]

[ A nightstand, some lamps... it's not the most exciting room. There is, however, a sound at the door. ]

Oh — sorry!?

[ immediately guilty. . . ]

[ It's the man from the family portrait, and he's scowling at Kennedy the second he sees her. ] What are you doing here? You look a little young for one of Sae's friends...

Oh — um. I . . . I seem to have gotten lost. . .

[ The man grunts. ] Sae's room is the last one in the hallway if you're looking for her. Just ignore anything from the other door. Yue's always causing some kind of trouble.
